With whispered neighborhood gossip and increasingly sleepless nights, Grace develops a fierce obsession with Leland and the safety of her children. Could she really be living next door to a child-kidnapper? A murderer?

With reality and dream blurring more each day, Grace desperately pursues the truth – following Ava’s family, demanding answers from the police – and then a body is discovered.

Opening the X-Files…

Their job is to investigate the eeriest unsolved mysteries in modern America, from pyro-psychics to death row demonics, from rampaging Sasquatches to alien invasions. ‘Whirlwind (X-Files Book 2) by Charles Grant narrated by Patrick Lawlor

Serial killers come in all shapes and sizes, but this one is particularly puzzling. There’s no pattern to the mutilated bodies that have been showing up in Albuquerque: The victims have been both sexes and all races, ages, and ethnic groups. There is no evidence of rape or ritual. Only one thing connects the victims: They were the victims of a natural disaster – one of the most unnatural natural disasters imaginable – leading to a most painful, most certain, and most hideous death.

Mulder and Scully, FBI: the agency maverick and the female agent assigned to keep him in line. Their job is to investigate the eerie unsolved mysteries the Bureau wants handled quietly but quickly, before the public finds out what’s really out there…and panics – the cases filed under “X”.

Running Time is 5 hrs and 42 mins

‘Ground Zero (X-Files Book 3)’ by Kevin J Anderson narrated by Patrick

Lawlor

Since this is a death on federal property, FBI agents Mulder and Scully are hastily called in. As agents who specialize in unexplained phenomena, they are the investigators of the X-Files, strange and inexplicable cases – mysteries the FBI doesn’t want solved.

When a second victim, completely unrelated to nuclear science or to Gregory, is obliterated in the New Mexico desert and then a third dies the same way in Washington, DC, Mulder and Scully begin to focus on the frightening dimensions of their task. The bizarre deaths cannot be a coincidence. And as they work to uncover the secret element that unites these deaths, it becomes clear that this twisted puzzle has fatal consequences for the entire world.

‘Ruins (X-Files Book 4)’ by Kevin J Anderson

narrated by Patrick Lawlor

Running Time is 8 hrs and 59 mins

‘Antibodies (X-Files 5) by Kevin J Anderson narrated by Patrick Lawlor

When a disease-ravaged body is found in the smoldering ruins of the federally funded DyMar genetic research lab, Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully fear that a deadly, man-made plague is on the loose. As the FBI agents investigating the “X-Files” – cases the bureau has deemed unsolvable – Mulder and Scully pursue the truth wherever it leads, even into the labyrinthine corridors of the FBI…and beyond.

Racing to contain the lethal virus before it can spread, Mulder and Scully make a chilling discovery. Before his death, Dr. David Kennessy, a hotshot cancer researcher at DyMar, had been experimenting with a promising but highly dangerous technology: microscopic bio-machines that can cure any disease and heal any wound. In theory, this research could be a miracle cure, perhaps even a doorway to immortality. It was also the only way Dr. Kennessy could save his leukemia-stricken son.

But when a second corpse turns up, savagely mutilated from within, it’s anything but theoretical. Could machines created to cure have learned to kill? Scrambling for answers, Mulder and Scully are opposed at every step by faceless enemies with all the resources of the government – even perhaps of their own agency – at their command. These enemies will stop at nothing to ensure that the secret of immortality falls into the right hands – their hands.

As sinister forces close in, Scully fights to save the life of an innocent boy while Mulder comes face to face with a crazed and desperate man – a man whose slightest touch brings agonizing death, and perhaps a resurrection more horrible still.

Running Time is 7 hrs and 48 mins

‘Skin’ (X-Files Book 6) by Ben Mezrich, narrated by Patrick Lawlor

When moonlighting medical students harvesting skin from a corpse for temporary use accidentally take it from the wrong donor, the results are catastrophic: A New York City hospital ward is destroyed in a bloodbath, and an elderly professor, admitted for a routine skin graft, is suddenly the city’s most wanted fugitive.

Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are the only ones to suspect something more ominous than a medical procedure gone awry. As the FBI agents investigating the X-Files – strange and inexplicable cases the bureau wants to keep hidden – Mulder and Scully are determined to track down the forces they suspect are behind the murders.

While the police hunt the fleeing professor, Mulder and Scully track the skin that was grafted onto him, a trail that leads from the morgue to the headquarters of a cutting-edge biotech company to the jungles of Thailand. Together they begin to uncover an unholy and undeniable alliance between a battle-trained plastic surgeon, international politicians, and a legendary Thai monster known as the Skin Eater.

‘I Want To Believe (X-Files Book 8) by Max

Allan Collins narrated by Patrick Lawlor

It is a case right out of the X-Files. But the FBI suspended its investigations into the paranormal years ago. Ex-agents Fox Mulder and Dr. Dana Scully are the best team for the job, but they have no desire to revisit the past. The truth about these horrific crimes is out there, and only Mulder and Scully can uncover it.

A diseased town – long hidden beneath a lake – rises from the depths to become a focus of the war between humankind and the Kin.

There exists a secret and highly illegal trade in mythological creatures and their artifacts. Certain individuals pay fortunes for a sliver of a satyr’s hoof, a gryphon’s claw, a basilisk’s scale, or an angel’s wing. Embroiled in the hidden world of the Relics, creatures known as the Kin, Angela Gough is now on the run in the United States.

Forty years ago the town of Longford was the site of a deadly disease outbreak that wiped out the entire population. The infection was contained, the town isolated, and the valley in which it sits flooded and turned into a reservoir. The truth – that the outbreak was intentional, and not every resident of Longford died – disappeared beneath the waves.

Now the town is revealed again. The Kin have an interest in the ruins, and soon the fairy Grace and the Nephilim leader Mallian are also drawn to them. The infection has risen from beneath silent waters, and this forgotten town becomes the focus of the looming battle between humankind and the Kin.

And that’s all folks!
It took me around 15 hours to look for the various Titan Titles as Audible is not the most user friendly interface, and kept re-starting, but I will add to these as I find each title.

Many more Titan titles are available to purchase but honestly, and Audible subscription is one of the nicest things you can do for yourself this New Year.

£7.99 a month gets you access to all the Plus catalogue as well as a title from the non-Plus audiobooks.

If you even add up all the ones I have mentioned, and don’t pick any others, that is approximately 219 hrs of listening which, in my humble opinion, is cracking!

  1. I’m back with Scribd but I’ll keep this in mind for when I go back to Audible! (Which is unavoidable, really, cos I will need to buy and listen to Matt Wesolowski’s Demon sooner or later 😄)

    1. Absolutely, I mean it is a necessity!! If you want I have Demon and I can send it as a gift to anyone starting their sub again?
What is Scribd like, do you enjoy it?

      1. Aww thanks lovely, but I’ll wait a few months and then take advantage of Audible Plus while I’m at it 😊 I really love Scribd. It’s a bit more expensive than Audible but if you read or listen a lot it’s well worth it IMHO. It’s a fixed price per month (I think it’s about £10) and you can read and listen to however many books you want. Their library is pretty extensive, the only drawback is that if you’ve read many books, or very popular ones, they might make some of them unavailable to you until your subscription is renewed the month after. Let me know if you want to try it out, I can give you my code for a two-month free trial, which also gives me a free month when you use it 😊
