My name is Rachel ,I am a lifelong reader, more recently a book blogger, as well as a book reviewer across a variety of social media platforms.
I am blogtour participator, as well as a Netgalley and Goodreads reviewer since 2013.
Prior to this I have been talking about books ever since I was able to wrestle control of my library tickets, to anyone prepared to listen !
I am currently CLOSED to book review requests because I do not want to let people down and since having COVID it takes me much longer to completely read and review a novel.
No payment is taken to participate in any #blogtours or #bookreviews-I receive either physical or e-book copies of books in return for an honest review. Unless otherwise stated, reviews are based on my own personal purchases and are not gifted arcs. I only give stars when sharing reviews on commercial sites such as Amazon/Goodreads/Waterstones. My preferred option would to be not to give stars because I do not think it accurately reflects how much a book resonates with a reader.
I don’t share negative reviews here. I may not be the audience you are looking for, but that should not put off potential readers in my humble opinion. If I did not get on with a book, I will not labour the point as I am just one reader-what I enjoy may not work for another reader, and vice versa. My blog is not an echo chamber of positivity, simply talk about books I have enjoyed and why.
Most of the books you may see here have been purchased or gifted to me for my birthday, Christmas etc and unless otherwise identified as *gifted* then I have bought the book myself.
