It’s the last #Domevember #WeekendShelfie and I am sad to say goodbye to a wonderful company of authors and publishers……but this is not the end!
I can guarentee that having worked solidly through as many books as I could in #Domevember,I’ll carry on reading any of the Dome Press books which are published from here on in!
So far, we have discovered the 1960’s set Inspector Rocco mysteries, the Detective Jack Dylan police procedurals, some gripping contemporary fiction, classics reimagined, women’s fiction and all over damn fine writing.
We readers will have more of the same forthcoming from Dome Press in 2020, so prepare some room on your physical and ebook bookshelves-‘The Last Crossing’ by Brian McGilloway is out in April and so is Jean Levy’s ‘Other Women’.
Thank you to everyone who joined in, bought a book, requested it from a library or added it to their TBR (to be read) pile, gratitude abounds!
For the last weekend, I am going to read the second in the J.D Fennell series which began with ‘Sleeper’ and now continues with ‘Sleeper-The Red Storm’
1943.Sleeper spy Will Starling has been drafted in to the SOE, joining forces with the French Resistance in the fight against the Nazis; but Will’s memory is fractured and only occasional flashbacks reveal fragments of his past. Despite this, he has not forgotten his pledge to find and rescue his sister, Rose – if she is still alive. When his mission in France is compromised, Will suspects he’s been betrayed.
Back in London he hears that VIPER are in league with the Axis powers and are developing a new and deadly weapon. As he and MI5 agent Anna Wilder set out to destroy it, their every move is anticipated by their enemies. Who is the mole in the British Secret Service? As they close in on VIPER’s Swiss headquarters, it seems no one can be trusted. Are Will and Anna able to prevent the unleashing of the Red Storm that will bring mass destruction on a scale even the Nazis haven’t dreamt of?
While Will tries to save the world, Rose has become the key to VIPER’s future plans and is drugged to dull her kinetic powers. But Rose faces danger from an unexpected enemy and her time is running out.

Next on my list is this D.I Jack Dylan mystery, I tell you I cannot get enough of these books ! Love ‘discovering’ and author and finding there is a backlist, what joy!
Detective Inspector Jack Dylan has two unconnected murders to solve – and one of his detectives has gone missing. Long hours are a part of the job, but his relationship is suffering and he wants to save it.
With the pressure mounting, Dylan needs to find out why a young woman was burned alive in a public park while half a million pounds of her money has been stolen.
Usually the search for the murderer begins with the immediate family, but this time Dylan fears that his own missing sergeant may be involved.
