About the book…

The highly anticipated new novel from the international bestselling author of ‘Sometimes I Lie’, Alice Feeney’s new novel is her most twisted and nerve-wracking thriller yet.

Aimee Sinclair: the actress everyone thinks they know but can’t remember where from. But I know exactly who you are. I know what you’ve done. And I am watching you.

When Aimee comes home and discovers her husband is missing, she doesn’t seem to know what to do or how to act. The police think she’s hiding something and they’re right, she is – but perhaps not what they thought. Aimee has a secret she’s never shared, and yet, she suspects that someone knows. As she struggles to keep her career and sanity intact, her past comes back to haunt her in ways more dangerous than she could have ever imagined.

‘I Know Who You Are’ will leave your heart pounding and your pulse racing. This is the most twisted thriller you’ll read all year.

Hugest of thanks to Joe Thomas and Lily Capewell of HQ stories for the chance to read the book and listen to it on audio!
The book gave me shivers but listening to the audio? Those shakes went bone deep!
What can I say about this book…it is macabre, twisted and deliciously dark and I can guarentee that reaching the end will have you going back several chapters and re-reading them just to make sure that what you read is what you read.

And oh boy, what it is is incredible, this is the book equivalent of whiplash and as addictive as hell.

Aimee’s chapters alternate with that of a young girl called Ciara, a girl whose past-and future-are inextricably tied to Aimee’s. She is an actress on the rise, just starting to be noticed in the media arena and piranhas are circling everywhere…

Suddenly she has a stalker who leaves calling cards saying ‘I Know Who You Are’, a fellow actress biting at her heels, a vituperative journalist and a missing husband. This is only the start of Aimee’s troubles as her husband is not only missing, he seems to have never existed in the first place.

The problems arise when she cannot find a picture of him older than 5 to give to the police. A quick look in the attic shows a clean sweep of a life that seems to have never been real. No memories to hold onto, and in Aimee’s case, her childhood amnesia following a horrific event gives the police the perfect motive to close in.

If she can block so much of her life out, how does anyone even know when she is lying, even to her own self?

As Aimee desperately tries to work out what she has or hasn’t done, her past comes hurtling up to meet her in the most brutal way.

A stunning thriller with a whole new dimension to it as an audiobook, I have absolutely no hesitation in  recommending this book.Stephanie Racine brings her remarkable acting talents to this book as she did with ‘Sometimes I Lie’ and gives Aimee and Ciara voices that you won’t easily forget.

Turn off your phone, grab some snacks so you don’t have to move too much and bed in for the foreseeable future. This is one book you won’t be able to forget!

  1. Thrillers do seem to work well on audio. I have to be careful to only listen to them in the gym though – if driving I would be too distracted to be safe
