Wow what a month!

I managed to….

  • Read the first 4 in my Agatha Christie readathon
  • Finished the first Dark Tower novels to join in with an Instagram readalong
  • Almost finished IT by Stephen King for another Instagram readalong
  • Went to Bath for the Headline Publishing New Voices 2019 event which was FANTASTIC!
  • Bought ZERO BOOKS! I KNOW! Mr B nearly died of shock! I was sent some BRILLIANT proofs for which I am eternally grateful BUT I actually managed to read some of my backlist!
  • Read a grand total of …27 books!!! Encompassing a silly amount of blogtours because I am so bad at saying no and also scheduling a great diary…ooopps! One upside of insomnia is getting a stupid amount of reading done and I read books I wouldn’t normally have done so that was pretty fun!
  • Read my first We Student Nurse Book Challenge title-this month’s prompt was ‘Road Trip’.
  • Write a monthly wrap up! I always mean to but then forget!

It was a very busy bookish month and I have learnt LOTS from this about scheduling posts as soon as media packs arrive to prepare for reviews, being super careful about pressing publish as this is a bloggers worst nightmare sending a half finished post out to all your subscribers !!!

Luckily everyone was very kind about it!

Also, I have been blown away by the support from the Twitter book blogger community, what a lovely and inclusive bunch of people they are! If you are reading this and thinking of jumping into book blogging and are worried that you might not have anything to offer or don’t know where to start, try typing #bookblogger into Twitter and you will find some of the funniest, brightest and lovely people you could hope to meet!

Drop me a line below if you have anything you want to shout out about that you got up to this month and let’s be happy that this month, which feels like it lasted FOREVER is now over !

On to February and Valentine’s plus the first of 2019’s #sbcollective meetups in Swansea Waterstones -yippeee!
