The Bookouture team have given me the opportunity to read and review the ‘Paradigm Trilogy’ by Ceri A Lowe in time for the release of the final volume, ‘The Storm Girl’s Secret’.
The whole trilogy has been leading to this point, it can be read as a stand alone, but I would recommend reading from the beginning because they are brilliant reads!
Starting with the ‘The Rising Storm’,then continuing with ‘The Girl In The Storm’, this dystopian YA read is perfect for those left wanting more after finishing ‘The Hunger Games’ or ‘Maze Runner’.
All 3 books are currently available on Amazon Kindle Unlimited which is a monthly ‘library’ where you can borrow up to 10 ebooks for a monthly fee(free for the first month).
The Paradigm shift is where the world as we know it, ends and how it is rebuilt and where is the power shift. It makes you think as society rebuilds itself, what is important, what do you leave behind and how do you learn.
Saved from city destroying storms by the Paradigm Industries, Alice Davenport is poised on the cusp of the new world order-does she use her skills to establish the new or defend the old?
Opposite her is Carter,a cryongenically frozen future leader in the decades after the storms. He is woken to participate in the Industries version of a management programme but starts to question why , and whether it is actually what he wants.
As one character looks to the future and the other to the past, it is like the gaps between lightning strikes, shortening, as motives and manipulations become clearer and past and future head towards an inevitable collision.
Ceri A Lowe manages to capture the post apocalypse brilliantly, without making it the entire focus of the story. The characters are front and foremost, the plot twists and turns without letting up the pace and the story is spread across 3 novels without feeling overlong or thinly stretched.
I am very grateful to Bookouture for letting me on board the #blogtour!
